I am still not sure what is different, but I think the inside of the shoe seems to tilt a bit inside. I can feel a gentle slope towards inside. Not sure if the 2E for New balance 890v4 is wider and that forces my foot to slide. Will try to do something for this in next run. Over all one thing that I like about New balance 890v4 is that it super light, don;t feel like I am running with any shoe. Its going to take some more runs to break in the Shoe before I can truly judge how it is. The run was regular up university and back to store. I am still not 100% and need to see doctor tomorrow. It was supposed to early morning run so got up early to see it rain. I had all new shoe (New balance 890v4) so decided to skip the morning. Finally after the Germany won had time to go out. It was too hot even for the time. Switched to shadow side of the road. It was still very hot my head it still hurting. Today it felt lot easier especially going up the steep hill on York Mills. It was fun run did the recommended 7K. New Balance 890v4 is lot lighter than my 880V3 and I can really fell that. The cushioning is less and than 880v3 and I could fell that too :) . The one odd thing still is I find my feet going in as if its giving up and I am pro-nateing. I feel I am forced to rather than I doing it. Still just 7K is too early to tell if it will hurt or pain later. For now it feels better and lighter. The blue color really stands out. Oh I bought the laces that dont untie when running but I could not get the original laces out so still have not switched them. The shoe fits really good , the heel and back part of ankle are more cushioned inside than 880v4. So that is definitely a plus. More will come. Running room half marathon clinic finally is ramping up, we got split in to groups by our pace and goals. I am in the group that just wants to complete and surprisingly it was biggest. The run was regular 4K the pace is up yet. My lungs are still not clear from the cold last week so it hits every now and than. My New Balance 880v3 seem to be worn out now, I could feel it on my feet. So on the way back shopped for new shoes. 880v4 is still not for sale. Tried the 980 foam based shoe from new balance. The review from runners world was a average shoe so still hesitating to it. I need a 2E which was not available so din't get it any ways. So finally the flu seems to have gone but the I am still stuffy and coughing ..I was worried it would affect my run. It did somewhat but after the first 15mins it was all ok. Feel a lot better running again struggled to get to normal pace. My New balance 880V3 definitely needs a replacement. Cannot wait till Aug for the 880v4 so might get a 2nd pair to run. Not sure if I should switch brands and go with Nike for a change. More about it next time ... So Friday evening decided to bike back uphill from down town. It was hard but doable I am sure next round back up is going to lot easier. I got to Eglinton in first pass had to get the bike fixed. I like how light Specialized Sirrus is and really not repenting my choice yet. I think it is the best sub 500$ bike for road and off road riding. I got the fenders installed and cage for water bottle. Here is how the ride went. Spring is here and rain probably all the rain will wipe all the flowers and cherry blossom. The last 2 runs were in rain and no one stopped. Today was lot better than yesterday. I was not soaked as bad and left my phone. http://www.goodguystri.ca/ Today we got a guy who ran for 100Km race for charity. It was amazing the fact the how fast he was able to get there. Its a fun race from Toronto to Blue Mountain My Garmin heart rate monitor was way off it was as low as 54. With all the rain hard to believe it was contact issue. Hmm need to do more research on Garmin heart rate monitor accuracy . Yesterdays run was completely rain soaked and i took my phone with me. It was all wet and it still survived. Lots of puddles ..drops hitting face hard and it was horrible yet fun run with almost 12 people group. The plan was to get to Eglinton station which maps showed as 6K. When I actually ran ended up going down one more station to Davisville station. I felt good that I could have gone down to one more station. But I had soccer tonight and it would kill me to do both ... Garmin 610 seem to behave today ...looks like it is all proximity to other foot pods and heart rate monitors that throws it off in down town, Not to mention the tall structures that obscure the GPS Click to set custom HTML So finally got my photos for queens baton. I still dont have the one where I am running need to see how to get it. We had our run again ..it was on and off. My heard rate monitor seems to have lost it. It almost had my heart not breathing for the last portion . Someone suggested to replace the battery , I think I should try that. Does anyone else have issues with Garmin heart rate monitor not tracking well... Was not surget e if could run outside ..was not 100% after the sleepless last 3 days. I can I am going to get sick so decided to stay inside. I was hoping I could stop early. Surprise the last weeks speed run training helped. I am not sure if trust the heart rate monitor this time. I actually wetted it as suggested and damm it showed that I was doing lot less than what I felt. I need to try it outside tomorrow. Never the less it was good workout with record 517Cal burned :) It was not bad the group now clearly has 2 sub groups. The one that have clearly run half marathon and are just keeping relaxed and one doing this after a long time. It was much easier doing almost 5 today with enough to do another one 10min ...so its getting better. |
