Every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease and stroke in Canada. That's why I am participating in the Ride for Heart on Sunday, June 2, 2013 in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Shripad Karodi Fundraising Page - Shripad Karodi's Personal Page for Ride for Heart 2013

As usual looking at what people are doing around me but its boring this time. Last 2 trips with Jet Airways went really smooth so I hopefully this one goes well too. I hate delays and missing connection just there is nothing in your had and you are mercy of some one else..
Probably this is the 1st time when I am not too busy at work and when I am heading to vacation, so for a change I am not going to VPN in and work :) ... On the way to airport spent time catching up on development on XDA, another drama was about to begin but luckly it all fizzled out and we still have dev on vivid forum. I hate that HTC did not release ICS as promised, actually they can still they have 3 more days for March to end but I won't be there than...SO HTC whre is Bell HTC Raider ICS... Its almost close to year and half since I have to Pune, so finally I am packed and set for the long travel. I hope the travel goes smooth. I hate the BRU to MUM part just whole body starts aching by than and than its 3 more hrs of drive on noisy road.
Both VIVID (AT&T) and Velocity (Telstra) go the FOTA updates last week. So stuck on GB ROM when the almost every one is moving to ICS. Sigh ...every morning the 1st thing I check is the OTA...
Tried to ping HTC but no response, the press release is as usual useless saying in next weeks...it like a month now and still no sign of any leak or even the official OTA. Strangely Desire HD already is getting a port of Sense 4.0 and I moved from that to HTC Raider .. HTC you said march so are you going to wait till 30th before you push the OTA!!! So it was really a busy last week. The travel and the time zone difference does take a toll on you or I am getting old..old I mean. Sunday was nice and relaxing, but now it is back to routine.
Last year I could not focus on getting the registration thing going I hope this is something I can address some time early this year. The unexpected travel also came with some unexpected expenses, some of it would be reimbursed but I guess its going to take time. So looks like I am back to boring like :) This was kind of unexpected travel, everything happened at the last moment and there I was flying on 1st working day of 2012. It went much better than I expected, I had prepared my self to miss the connecting flight just to checkin delays at TO air port. But it went well with the exception of I filling out all the forms twice. Once with a pencil and once with ink. I filled my I94 with pencil and finally someone complained and I was back to the line again.
Apart from the drive from SFO to 1700 Technology Dr, I have not seen the Sun much. Watch TV will like 11pm PST and I was up that day at 1am PST and still could not sleep. Than woke up at 3AM just to keep doing that every 10 mins to check why the Alarm for 6 did not ring. And now back again from work practicing scribbling on my blog :) This is probably the longest I have had a Android based device that I did not root. Lately HTC has started to lock down the bootloader and uses signature to check the validity of Firmware/Kernel. This made it increasingly hard to exploit a kernel hole to root a device.
Finally "Peter Chou' CEO of HTC bowed down to requests from developers to allow to unlock boot loaders and finally today I used a off the shelf HTC super tool, which used the zegrush exploit to root the device. I hope AT & T and HTC also release the keys to unlock the Vivid so that we can have some more developers work on the ICS port. Almost after 2 months ran a sync using titanium backup and flashed a recovery using Rom manager, now need a real ROM. Probably this was 1st green Xmas since I came to this winter land. It was surprise but it last only a day . We had 1st blast of snow today and it was decent not bad. I was way worried how my Michelin PA3 would perform. Given that it is V-rated tire it does slip here and there a bit, especially when taking a sharp turn i can feel the tail pushing out. So Got to be careful a bit. The ECT mode does make care more stable though.
Finally I am back to work tomorrow and the damage was somewhere less 300$, I was worried that I would buy some big ticket item which I don't need it now. Its going t So finally the front end of website is up and running. Weebly made it very easy for both personal and professional parts to exist. One part stays hidden and protected.
So now I need to read through ontarioinc registration etc and I hope its legal just to register it.Hopefully early 2012 I should have that going too. |
